BB Bold 9700

Will be taking delivery of it within the next few days, only took is as its the latest BB on the market.
My question is, whats the difference between the 9700 and the other models? is it any better than the curve, storm, etc?

this is the upgrade from the 8900 curve which i currently have, big difference is the 9700 is 3g where as the 8900curve is not, otherwise i prefer the 8900 curve as the keys are spaced nicely compared to the 9700, some people like it others dont, seeing as you going to be spending alot of typing on the blackberry maybe it can be annoying at times,

otherwise its a good phone and i only wish people didnt wake up so late to blackberry's...

I haven't used the 8900, but was also concerned with the 9700 keypad spacing, until I tried it, the keys are shaped in such a way that u hit the right key everytime.

Infact the only bad thing I can say bout the 9700 or maybe its a BB thing is that bluetooth connections work really cuk.

The 9700 is not the upgrade of the 8900 curve,it's the upgrade of the BB Bold 9000

So i received my blackberry, got it through MTN.
I applied for it and the sales lady was really on top of her game and i got the phone MUCH quicker than anticipated.
BUT, once i received the phone the sales lady disappeared off the face of the planet. She didnt respond to emails, nothing. Im having my number ported from cell c to MTN, so now im sitting with my cell c sim and my new MTN sim, each in a phone, each with the same number, so some calls and smses come through to one phone and some come through on the other. Its been like this for a week now. Also my BIS hasnt been activated yet so the phone cant be used for its intended purpose, which is EXTREMELY frustrating. Apparently this sales lady got sick after she made the sale, conveniently. :roll:

That said, i was also concerned about the size of the keys, but ive gotten used to it now. Battery life thus far is my only concern but ill see how long it lasts once the BIS is activated and ive got full functionality...

A BB is nothing without the BIS...

I also got myself a 9700, brilliant phone... The way the buttons are designed, like Hishaam said, you hit the right button every time

Two/Three days normally, but it depends on how much you "browse"... Which MTN store did you do your deal through?
