ihi are mostly effective high boost turbo's... TD turbo for more fast spooling and on lower cc or sohc designs...

the IHI's are abit more reliable though and the TD is fairly reliable aswell
but considering both product for OEM, then u can be rest assured they both solid units on there own

nice info... i had two IHI units already.. to my knowledge i dont think IHI produce this turbo anyumore... i had the smallese version with the p15 ghousing and even that was laggier than the td04l.. the vf22 is another nice option aswell which i had as its BB and has a powerfull topend capable of 1.6bar all day everyday

if i would have know u were gonna do this about a month ago, then i would have given u my oem starlet IC.... i gave it away not so long ago to my cuz for his UT

if you looking for cheap effective ones (they are small but bigger than the TS OR UT) then go to SA Auto and ask if they have any 4E-FTE OR 4AGZE top mount coolers for you. Also the ARC top mount from the Rotary engines that they have there are also good (slightly bigger then the 4E AND 4A IC's)
