They can druk you on almost anything and they have the right to remove your license disc. The laws are on the internet somewhere. Don't have the link right now.

Another tip: Stay far away from anyone who gives the cops attitude because they'll just make life difficult for you.

Anything your car does not come out of the factory with, they can druk you on.

I'm not sure, but I think a torn CV boot will fail roadworthy. Maybe someone else can verify this.

If you have a souped up car and you're at a known dicing spot, then they have a reasonable suspicion that you're there for something illegal, even if you're not. That's all they need.

Personally, I'd just go through the schlep of roadworthy again. Lots of ouens always say how they fought the law and won, but when you find out the real story then they just bent over and took it up the a-hole. My wife's a lawyer, so I hear the stories of how the cops make life difficult for ouens who try to be smart.

If a car is dangerous to yourself or other road users they can remove your disk but they have to give you some yellow page that states the car can't exceed 30km/h bla bla bla and you need to get the problem fixed asap.
Also if they find 3 or more things wrong with your car they can remove the disk as the car might be dangerous and once again you get that yellow thingy.

They can't remove it for a broken CV and that will get thrown out of court.
You should have taken down the names and badge numbers and taken it up with the ICD.

now my thing is this i hear from one traffic person at roadworthy station that there is no law against a car being low, again as long as wheels dont touch arch when you lock, then i go for roadworthy at another place and this guy reckons they are going to implement something as from october, what i dont understand is how can so many people from in the same line of work have different stories, so who is right and who is wrong???

Anything altered on your vehicle, as in it doesn't come like that from the factory is illegal.

kuk one bra. this has been discussed a few times already and i remember one forum user who this happened to said that he went to the traffic dept and said his disc blew out the window or something while driving so they gave him a new one. try it, you got nothing to lose and it beats having to go for another roadworthy.
